Little Learners Christian Club

Our Little Learners Christian Club is not currently up and running due to unforeseen circumstances. We are hoping to be able to run this club again soon.

Little Learners Christian Club (LLCC), as named by the children, is a lunchtime club which began in September 2018. It is run by two volunteers, Vicky Whitehouse and Kay Shuard, who are both governors as well as parents of former Powick children. They are also Authorised Lay Ministers for Children and Youth work in the local Parish, running Messy Crafts and from early next year a monthly family tea time Sunday service.

The Club aims to help the children learn more about Christianity through fun activities and games. It is open to all children in KS2 and meets in the KS2 art area from 12.15pm – 12.55pm on Thursday lunchtimes. If the weather is good the children may also go outside for some games, including the ever popular parachute games. So far, some of the children have taken part in the school's Christingle service, they have built Lego nativity scenes, learnt about women and mums from the bible, including making a gift for Mother's Day, learnt about creation and the animals in our world and have written a LLCC prayer.

Children are welcome to go along to the Club for a taster session.

The photos show some of the things the children have created so far while at the Club.
