Little Learners Christian Club (LLCC), as named by the children, is a lunchtime club which began in September 2018. It is run by two volunteers, Vicky Whitehouse and Kay Shuard, who are both governors as well as parents of former Powick children. They are also Authorised Lay Ministers for Children and Youth work in the local Parish.
The Club aims to help the children learn more about Christianity through fun activities and games. It is open to all children in KS2 and meets in the KS2 art area from 12.10pm – 12.55pm on Thursday lunchtimes. If the weather is good the children may also go outside for some games, including the ever popular parachute games. So far, some of the children taking part in the school's Christingle service, they have built Lego nativity scenes and learnt about women and mums from the bible, including making a gift for Mother's Day.
