Pupil Premium and PE Grant Funding

As with every child in our care,  a child who is eligible for the Pupil Premium Grant is valued, respected and entitled to develop to his or her full potential, irrespective of need.  The Pupil Premium Grant is used on approaches shown to be effective in improving the achievement and opportunities of disadvantaged pupils.

If you would like to find out further information about Pupil Premium Grant then please access this information via the Worcester County Council information page:

https://www.worcestershire.gov.uk/schools-education-and-learning/free-school-meals

If you feel like your child may be entitled to Pupil Premium Funding (and therefore Free School Meals also) then an application must be made via the Worcester Citizen Portal website:

https://emsi.worcestershire.gov.uk/CitizenPortal_LIVE/en

Please find below the most up to date Pupil Premium Strategy for Powick CE Primary School. This is a three year strategy which includes the rationale for Pupil Premium spending in the current school year, how the money has been allocated and reviews the impact of the spend in the previous academic year.

PE and Sports Grant

Each year state funded schools are allocated a PE and Sports Grant which must be used to fund improvements to the provision of PE and sport so that pupils can develop healthy lifestyles.

In order to ensure the PE & Sports Grant money is well spent and supports both current and future pupils the Governors, Head of School and PE co-ordinator have carefully evaluated current provision, sought pupil’s views and plan to spend the allocation in a targeted and sustainable way.
