Caerleon survived us!
The trip to Cearleon went really well. I'm not sure the museum shop had ever sold so much Roman weaponry to one class! It made for some brilliant gladiator work in the amphitheatre though...
We are coming to the end of the Italy project, and associated filming! It has been great fun and all of the children hope you have enjoyed looking at their work.

The Dulcimer World Congress Schools Concert went very well and the children all tried out the instruments and some Swiss chocolate! The concert programme was:
Mike Freeman and Tania Opland (USA/ UK/ Ireland) - MCs & multi-instrumentalists
Mitzie Collins (USA) - hammered and mountain dulcimer
Victoria Herencsar (Hungary) - Cimbalom
It was quite a rare opportunity to see these instruments played and the first time the Congress has been held in the UK. The Cimbalom lives in the Hungarian embassy in London and was transported to Malvern especially for this event! Many thanks to Worcester Youth Music and Malvern St. James for the invite.
